Kansas City needs to send Wal-Mart a big message!

So in the paper this week it was announced that Wal-Mart is withdrawing an informal pledge to hold their annual manager's meeting in Kansas City in favor of Orlando. In case you weren't aware this represents the city's largest convention and pumps an estimated 8 million into our economy each year.

We need to send Wal-Mart a huge message and pull that 8 million + right out of their ass-immediately. We need to all pledge to not shop at Wal-Mart and spend our money at Target to pay back their loyalty.

If you want to read more about it go to http://www.kansascity.com/105/story/677895.html. You will find the reprint of the article I read in the paper.

Wal-Mart, you are scum sucking jack asses for taking this away from KC. I have defended you for years from people who said they didn't want you. I may never shop at one again! Enjoy Orlando you pieces of crap!

If you want to take a second and let them know you are pissed off about it too you can go here http://walmartstores.com/contactus/feedback and leave them a short message. This is their corporate site. I would encourage you to tell them you won't shop there again unless they bring the meeting back to Kansas City.

Not sure what you expected them to do. We don't have enough hotel rooms for them. Did you expect a bunch of VPs and Directors to bunk up with each other?

I think I highlighted in the blog that there are more than enough rooms in downtown to handle this group. My point is that we've been spun in the spin zone here by Wal-Mart. This isn't about hotel rooms it is about going to Orlando in the winter. I did the research and there are plenty of rooms...and nice rooms at that. No double bunking necessary. Think of all the money our escorts are going to lose that week alone.......
